GRADUATE ENGINEERS – PERTH, EDINBURGH & INVERNESS

We have opportunities for Graduate Engineers within teams based in our Perth, Edinburgh (Broomhills) and Inverness offices.  Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.  Previous work experience is not required but would be beneficial.  BEAR are able to offer a graduate training scheme accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers.  The Graduate Engineers will assist experienced Engineers with day-to-day activities relating to the management and maintenance of the NW unit including inspections, investigations, design, procurement and construction management.

Responsibilities and Activities include (but are not restricted to):

  • Delivering allocated projects on time and within budget.
  • Assisting with inspections, surveys and investigations on the network.
  • Assisting with the design of projects including preparation of drawings and other documentation.
  • Assist with the management of health and safety.
  • Assist with the management and supervision of sub-contractors on sites.
  • Follow the requirements of the Graduate Training programme as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A full approved UK driving licence.
