BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is continuing essential maintenance under Cromarty Bridge on the A9, near Dingwall.
A 30mph speed limit restriction has been in place for the safety of workers accessing the platform under the bridge. Due to additional work being required and the impact of winter weather earlier in the programme, this speed limit restriction has been extended to Sunday 19 April.
Further works are being planned for May, with overnight activities confirmed from Wednesday 6 May to the morning of Sunday 10 May between the hours of 7pm and 6am. Thereafter, additional activities are being planned for the week commencing Monday 18 May and specific timings will be confirmed for these in the coming weeks.
Richard Cook, BEAR Scotland’s North West Bridge Manager, said, “Our teams continue to make good progress on these essential repairs despite the challenges of weather.
“We thank road users and local communities for their continued patience and understanding as we work to finish the project safely and as efficiently as possible.”
