TROSSACHS LIVESAVERS RECEIVE £750 FUNDING BOOST FROM BEAR SCOTLAND

May 2, 2025

BEAR Scotland, which operates and maintains trunk roads across North West Scotland, has donated £750 to Trossachs Search and Rescue. The volunteer-led charity supports those who have found themselves in difficulty in the outdoors in the Trossachs and Stirling area.
BEAR Scotland manages and maintains the A84, A85 and A82. As part of its Regional Charity Initiative, employees are encouraged to nominate good causes for funding, supporting charities that make a difference in the communities BEAR Scotland works in.
Vivienne Reijnen, BEAR Scotland’s North West Environmental Advisor, nominated Trossachs Search and Rescue and said: “I volunteer with Trossachs Search and Rescue in my free time and have seen how much these great people truly care about helping their community in all aspects of search and rescue. It can be a dangerous job, but all the volunteers are selfless and being able to help them continue their works means so much to me.”
Trossachs Search and Rescue have been saving lives since 1998. They offer water, mountain and urban rescue services as well as installing defibrillators and providing CPR and first aid workshops for the local community.
Linzi Tindall from Trossachs Search and Rescue said: “We work with emergency services and support them whenever we can. We also do a lot of work with local community groups and events to ensure someone is on hand to help in case of a medical emergency. Donations like these help us provide training and with the upkeep of our equipment so we can continue to offer a lifesaving service.”
