TREE REMOVAL WORKS AT M9 JUNCTION 10

January 30, 2026

  • Overnight closures of northbound off-slip 9, 10 and 11 February 2026

The slip road exiting the northbound M9 at Junction 10, Craigforth, will be closed for tree removal works between 19:30 and 06:00 on the nights of Monday 9, Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the M9 northbound to Junction 11 (Keir Roundabout), from where traffic will be directed to return southbound on the M9 to exit via the Junction 10 southbound off-slip. This diversion will add approximately 7 minutes and 6.0 miles to affected journeys.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South-East Network Manager, said: “It is essential for safety that we close the slip road while these tree removal works take place.

“We’ll do this overnight to minimise disruption, however we appreciate that this will increase journey times for some people and thank the public in advance for their patience and understanding.”

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.

Real time journey information is available from Traffic Scotland at www.traffic.gov.scot, or on X at @trafficscotland.

All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
