BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out tree clearance works adjacent to the Allt an Deabhtaich Retaining Wall on the A85, approximately two miles northwest from Lochearnhead.
Works will take place between 6pm and 5am each night from the evening of Monday 9 March until the morning of Saturday 14 March.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, a lane closure with temporary traffic lights will be in place throughout the night. During working hours there may be short periods where traffic is stopped in both directions to allow the removal of larger trees safely.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This tree clearance project is key to enabling replacement of Allt an Deabhtaich Retaining Wall to be undertaken later in 2026.
“The works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users as far as possible. Although it is necessary hold traffic for short durations, the disruptions will be limited to overnight hours to minimise any impact to the public.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience and understanding while our teams carry out these essential works.”
