SURFACING IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED FOR THE A82 NORTH OF TORLUNDY HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED WITH ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT REQUIRED

 

Please be advised that due to operational reasons, the surfacing improvements planned for the A82 north of Torlundy have been rescheduled and additional traffic management is required.

The improvements began on Tuesday 19 July, however due to operational reasons works were suspended. The works will resume at 7am on Wednesday 20 July for one day, with works expected to be completed by 7pm, subject to weather conditions.

Due to operational reasons, a lane closure with use of temporary traffic lights will be required overnight on Tuesday 19 July. Thereafter traffic management will remain as originally programmed; a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system and temporary traffic lights will be in place between 7am and 7pm on Wednesday 20 July.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

All relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes.

Project to take place during daytime on Tuesday 19 July

 

Motorists using the A82 north of Torlundy are set to benefit from road surfacing improvements, with works to take place on Tuesday 19 July.

The project, involving the re-surfacing of a 270 metre section of the trunk road, is expected to take place between 7am and 7pm, and will be completed in a single day subject to weather conditions.

For the safety of roadworkers and motorists, a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system and temporary traffic lights will be in place during working hours.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

“The traffic management proposed is essential for the safety of roadworkers and road users. Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can.
