On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road surfacing improvements at two locations on the A9 between Mybster and Thurso, with works set to get underway from Sunday 15 March.
The project will involve resurfacing two locations on the A9, with works carried out in two phases:
The traffic management will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, with a speed restriction of 30mph in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This crucial surfacing project on the A9 between Mybster and Thurso will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for motorists.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works efficiently with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
