On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road surfacing improvements on the A835 at Conon Bridge, with works set to get underway from Thursday 18 October.
The project will see two locations of the A835 resurfaced. Works will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am with all surfacing works anticipated to be completed on the morning of Friday 28 October, subject to weather conditions.
To protect roadworkers and motorists there will be a lane closure with convoy in place each night. The lane closure will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed limit of 30mph will be in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This crucial surfacing project on the A835 at Conon Bridge will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for all motorists.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
