BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out safety barrier improvements on the A82 north of Luss from Monday 8 December until Saturday 31 January 2026.
The improvements involve replacing safety barriers on the verges. Works will be carried out between the hours of 9:30am to 4pm on weekday, then from 7am to 7pm on Saturdays.
There will be no works on Sundays or during the festive break, from Friday 19 December 2025 until Monday 5 January 2026.
To protect road users and workers, temporary traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the safety barrier replacement to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said, “These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers and ensure the continued safe operation of the A82.
“We’ll be working hard to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible. Please plan your journey in advance, especially if you are travelling between Luss and Inverbeg.”
