BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential overnight road surfacing improvements on the A9 Roskeen to Tomich, between 19:00 on Sunday 19 April and 06:00 Friday 8 May.
To ensure the safety of all road users, overnight lane closures with a convoy system will be in place to safely guide traffic through the works at 10mph. Traffic management measures will be removed outside of working hours.
No works will be carried out on Friday and Saturday nights, or on Sunday 3 May and Monday 4 May, due to the May Day bank holiday.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A9 between Roskeen and Tomich will address existing defects and improve the overall condition of the road for road users.
“The use of a lane closure with convoy is essential to ensure the safety of both our workforce and road users while these works are undertaken.
“We thank road users and the local community for their patience and encourage them to plan ahead before travelling.”
Real time journey information is available from Traffic Scotland on www.traffic.gov.scot, X @trafficscotland or on the mobile site my.trafficscotland.org.
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
