• Road closure with amnesties in place until Tuesday 27 October

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to deliver a programme of road resurfacing at three locations on the A83 north of Stonefield to West Tarbert from Thursday 17 September.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am each working night and are expected to be completed by the morning of Tuesday 27 October. No works will be carried out on Friday or Saturday nights.

To protect the workforce and members of the travelling public, road closures will be in place each working night with hourly amnesties provided at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am and 5am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted safely through the worksite. Closures will be implemented as follows:

• Meall Mhor North Lodge and North of Ashens: Thursday 17 September until the morning of Wednesday 14 October
• North of Carrick Cemetery: Wednesday 14 October until the morning of Tuesday 27 October

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
