The slip road onto the westbound M876 at Junction 2 near Larbert will be closed for road marking remedial works between 19:30 and 06:00 on the night of Thursday 4 September.
The works will be carried out by Transport Scotland’s operating company, BEAR Scotland.
A signed diversion will be in place for westbound traffic wishing to join the M876 Junction 2 on-slip. Traffic will be diverted via Stirling Road onto the M876 eastbound, continuing to turn at Junction 3, Bowtrees Interchange, and returning on the M876 westbound. This diversion will add approximately 10 minutes and 9.2 miles to affected journeys.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South-East Network Manager, said “It’s necessary to close this slip road overnight so that we can tidy up road markings following a recent spillage on the carriageway.
“We’ll do this overnight to minimise disruption, however we understand this may still cause inconvenience for some road users. We thank the public for their patience and understanding.”
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
Real time journey information is available from Traffic Scotland at www.traffic.gov.scot, or on X at @trafficscotland.
