BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland is scheduled to undertake essential resurfacing works on the A82 at Bunloit, just south of Drumnadrochit, commencing on Sunday 28 June.
Works will be carried out overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am and are programmed to be completed by the morning of Friday 10 July. No works will be carried out on Friday and Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of both the workforce and road users, this section of the A82 will be closed in both directions during working hours. Managed access will be provided at scheduled amnesty periods at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am, during which waiting vehicles will be escorted safely through the works site.
Emergency service vehicles will be able to pass through the site throughout the duration of the works.
Advance consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders to inform them of the planned improvements and associated traffic management arrangements.
