BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out resurfacing on the A85 Dalmally from Monday 12 January.
Works will be carried out Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pm, and are expected to be completed by the evening of Tuesday 20 January.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights will be setup on the approach to the site and traffic will be guided through the works, at 10mph, by a convoy vehicle. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This resurfacing on the A85 at Dalmally will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, providing safer and smoother journeys for road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
