RESURFACING THE WESTBOUND A876 FROM HIGGINS NEUK

April 22, 2022

  • Five overnight road closures begin Monday 2 May 2022

The westbound A876 from Higgins Neuk Roundabout to M876 Junction 3 will be closed for resurfacing on five nights beginning Monday 2 May, between 19:30 and 06:00 each night. This is to allow 1.5 kilometres of carriageway to be resurfaced.

A clearly signed diversion route will be in place, with westbound traffic diverted via the A907, A91 and M9, to join the M876 at Bowtrees Roundabout.

All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These surfacing improvements will greatly improve the surface for motorists using this stretch of the A876.

“We thank motorists and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out this project. We’ll do all we can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”
