Overnight works to renew the road surface on the northbound M90 between Junctions 1B, Ferrytoll, and 1C, Admiralty, are set to begin on Wednesday 14 January.
Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the works at two locations, with overnight carriageway closures and daytime slip road closures in place for the safety of motorists and the workforce:
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These surfacing improvements on the M90 will address and repair defects in the road surface such as potholes and cracks, creating safer and smoother journeys for motorists.
“It is essential for safety that we close the carriageway during these works. We’ve scheduled works on the main carriageway to be carried out during overnight hours to minimise any disruption, however due to the depth of construction required on the Junction 1C northbound off-slip, these works require a continuous day and night closure.
“If you need to use this route during the works, please plan ahead and allow extra time for the diversion.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience and understanding.”

All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
