RESURFACING ON THE A9 SOUTH OF BLAIR ATHOLL

  • Resurfacing works to start on Tuesday 10 March in three locations

  • Temporary traffic lights in operation

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential improvement works on the A9 single carriageway South of Blair Atholl, aimed at enhancing road safety and conditions for motorists.

These works are planned to start at 7pm on the night of Tuesday 10 March and be completed by 6am on the morning of Friday 3 April, subject to weather.

To protect the workforce, this section of the A9 will be subject to appropriate traffic management measures:

  • A9 Aldclune: From the evening of Tuesday 10 March until the morning of Friday 20 March temporary traffic light lights will be in place at all times. Between 7pm and 6am a 10mph convoy system will also be in place. Outwith working hours a 30mph speed restriction will be in place.
  • A9 Blair Atholl Junction: On the night of Sunday 22 March between 7pm and 6am temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy will be in place. The B8079 Junction to Blair Atholl will remain open throughout.
  • A9 River Garry to Shierglas: From the evening of Monday 23 March until the morning of Friday 3 April temporary traffic lights will be in place at all times. Between 7pm and 6am a 10mph conoy will be in place, outwith working hours a 30mph speed restriction will be in place.

Temporary traffic lights will be manned at all times to reduce traffic delays.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
