BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential resurfacing works on the A84 single carriageway west of Kilmahog,on Thursday 18 June and Sunday 21 June.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am, with works expected to be completed by the morning of Monday 22 June, subject to weather. To protect the workforce, a reduced speed limit along with temporary traffic lights will be setup on the approach to the site and traffic will be guided through the works at 10mph by a convoy vehicle.
Traffic management measures will be removed outwith working hours, however, speed restrictions will remain in place as traffic will be running over a surface with no road markings.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager, said: “This carriageway resurfacing will fix existing defects in the road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.
