RESURFACING ON THE A82 BETWEEN ONICH AND INCHREE

May 29, 2026

  • Works start on Sunday 21 June

  • Overnight road closures in place until Thursday 16 July

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out resurfacing works on the A82 between Onich and Inchree from Sunday 21 June.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday 16 July, with no works on Friday or Saturday nights.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, an overnight road closure will be in place. Amnesties will be provided at 8pm, 9pm until 9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm, 1am, 3am and 5am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted safely through the site. Amnesty times have been planned to allow bus timetables to be maintained.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of  the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager, said: “This resurfacing project on the A82 between Onich and Inchree will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, improving the quality and safety for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works safely and efficiently. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
