• Overnight road closures start on Tuesday 13 October

• Works to be completed in two phases until Wednesday 28 October

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out resurfacing works on the A82 at Inchree, either side of Corran Ferry, from Tuesday 13 October.

Works will be carried out in two phases due to contractor holidays:

• Phase 1: South of Corran Ferry: Tuesday 13 October to the morning of Friday 16 October
• Phase 2: North of Inchree: Sunday 25 October to the morning of Wednesday 28 October

Works will take place overnight between the hours of 7pm and 6am, with no works programmed on Friday or Saturday nights.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and the travelling public, overnight road closures will be in place during working hours. Amnesty periods will be provided at 8pm, 9pm until 9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm, 1am, 3am and 5am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted safely through the site. Amnesty times have been planned to allow bus timetables to be maintained and to accommodate the last ferry to and from Corran Ferry.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager, said: “This resurfacing project on the A82 at Inchree will address existing defects in the road surface and renew road markings, improving the quality and safety for road users.

“Our teams will work efficiently to complete these improvements as quickly and safely as possible. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while these essential works are undertaken.”
