Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am with all works expected to be completed by 6am on Monday 2 March.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public suitable traffic management will be used at each location as above. Traffic management measures will be removed outwith working hours. However, during works west of Lix Toll, a 30mph speed restriction will remain in place during the day as traffic will be running on a temporary surface with no road markings.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of  the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This package of works on the A85 between Glen Ogle and West of Lix Toll will fix existing defects in the road surface and greatly improving conditions for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
