BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out surfacing improvement works on the A87 at Reraig from Monday 29 September.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 5am each night with works expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday 11 October. There will be no works on Saturday or Sunday nights.
To protect the workforce and members of the travelling public, lane closures with a 10mph convoy and temporary traffic lights will be in place each working night. Outwith working hours, traffic management will be removed but a reduced speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “The upcoming resurfacing works will improve the durability of the road and its resilience to inclement weather.
“The resurfacing works in combination with the application of new road markings will also enhance safety for all road users. We thank the local community and road users for their patience whilst these improvements are made.”
