BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out resurfacing on the A82 at Rose Street Roundabout in Inverness from Sunday 16 November.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by Tuesday 18 November.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, a full road closure with diversions will be in place. A diversion route suitable for trunk road traffic will be signposted from Shore Street Roundabout to Longman Roundabout via Academy Street, Milburn Road and the A9, adding an estimated 1.4 miles and 5 minutes to journey time.
When accessing the retail park or bus station, northbound traffic will be directed via Academy Street and Strothers Lane. Southbound traffic will remain unaffected. All vehicles exiting the retail park or bus station will be directed via Margaret Street.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “Theworks on the A82 at Rose Street Roundabout will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving its quality and safety for road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
