OVERNIGHT ROAD SURFACING ON A887 WEST OF INVERMORISTON

July 22, 2025

  • Works begin on Tuesday 5 August

  • Road closure until the morning of Monday 18 August

Road users travelling on the A887 West of Invermoriston, near Bhlaraidh Wind Farm, will benefit from an improved road surface as BEAR Scotland gets set to carry out works on behalf of Transport Scotland.

The works are due to start on Tuesday 5 August and will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night between Sunday and Thursday.

To protect the workforce and road users, this section of the A887 will be closed in both directions each night with traffic diverted via the A82 and A87. Public buses and emergency services will be allowed through closure and should proceed to the manned closure points.

Outwith working hours traffic management will be removed however, a reduced speed limit may remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works are required to fix existing defects in the road surface as well as to improve road markings. We thank motorists for their patience.”
