OVERNIGHT RESURFACING WORKS AT A9 TOMATIN AND MOY

May 29, 2026

  • Works starting on Monday 8 June

  • Lane closure with a convoy in place

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential surface improvements on the A9 at Tomatin and Moy.

Work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am each night from the evening of Monday 8 June until the morning of Thursday 11 June.

To ensure the safety of both workers and road users, a lane closure will be in place with a 10mph convoy system to safely escort traffic through the work site. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “This surfacing project on the A9 at Tomatin and Moy will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for all road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly and efficiently. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”

“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
