OVERNIGHT RESURFACING ON A92 BETWEEN DUNDEE AND ARBROATH

  • Works start on Sunday 12 July for three weeks

  • Lane closures with 10mph convoy

  • Slip road closures with diversions

 

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Claymore Roads, are set to deliver a programme of resurfacing at five locations on the A92 between Dundee and Arbroath from Sunday 12 July.

Works will be carried out between 7pm and 6am each working night, and are expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday 23 July. No works will take place on Friday or Saturday evenings. Outwith working hours, traffic management will be removed and the road will be fully reopened.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, a lane closure will be in place at all locations during working hours. In addition, slip road closures are required at two locations as detailed below:

  • Approach to Ethiebeaton roundabout (eastbound): 7pm on Sunday 12 July to 6am on Monday 13 July
  • Apporach to Upper Victoria Interchange (westbound): 7pm on Monday 13 July to 6am on Wednesday 15 July
  • Approach to Muirdrum Interchange (eastbound): 7pm on Wednesday 15 July to 6am on 6am on Monday 20 July – closure of the Upper Victoria Interchange on-slip with a signed diversion in place via the A92 travelling westbound and Ardestie Interchange
  • Ardestie to Upper Victoria Interchange (eastbound): 7pm on Monday 20 July to 6am on Wednesday 22 July
  • Salmonds Muir Underpass: 7pm on Wednesday 22 July to 6am on Thursday 23 July – both slip roads to and from the Salmonds Muir Interchange will also be closed with a signed diversion in place via the A92 eastbound and Elliot Roundabout for westbound traffic and via the A92 westbound and Muirdrum Interchange for those continuing their journeys east.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of  the works.
