On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road resurfacing on A9 South of Ruthven, near Kingussie, from Sunday 6 September.

Works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am each working night, with works expected to be completed by the morning of Monday 14 September. There will be no works on Friday or Saturday nights.

For the safety of workers and road users, overnight lane closures will be in place with a convoy system operating to safely escort traffic through the work site.

Access through the work site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager, said: “This crucial surfacing project on the A9 south of Ruthven will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for all road users.

“Our teams are committed to executing these works efficiently and with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
