BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out carriageway resurfacing on the A84 Stirling Road at the south end of Callander from Thursday 6 August.

For the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, a lane closure will be in place during working hours. Traffic lights and a 10mph convoy operation using an escort vehicle will control vehicle movements through the site. Traffic lights will also be operating at Robertson Way and Vorlich Cresent in order to provide safe access and exit for these residential areas.Traffic lights will be removed outwith working hours, and access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Access to and from the garage will be maintained until it closes at 10pm, whenever it is safe to do so.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager  said: “This resurfacing project on the A84 at Callander will fix existing defects in the road surface and provide fresh road markings, greatly improving quality and safety for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works efficiently, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
