• Works start on Sunday 2 August

• Temporary traffic lights with a convoy system from 7pm until Wednesday 16 September

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out three carriageway resurfacing projects on the A82, between Luss and Duck Bay from Sunday 2 August.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by the morning of Wednesday 16 September.

For the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, sections of the A82 will be subject to the following traffic management measures:

• A82 North of Arden Roundabout: Lane closures with four-way traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation each night from Sunday 2 August until the morning of Friday 21 August.
• A82 South of Arden Roundabout: Lane closures with four-way traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation each night from Sunday 23 August until the morning of Friday 4 September.
• A82 South of Luss: Lane closures with two-way traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation each night from Sunday 6 September until the morning of Wednesday 16 September.

Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours with access for emergency services and scheduled bus services maintained for the full duration of the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “These resurfacing projects on the A82 will fix existing defects in the road surface and enhance road markings, greatly improving quality and safety for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works efficiently with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
