OVERNIGHT RESURFACING IMPROVEMENTS ON A82 BETWEEN TARBET AND CRIANLARICH RESCHEDULED BY ONE NIGHT

February 14, 2023

  • Resurfacing due to begin tonight (14 February) will now start tomorrow, Wednesday 15  February, for 15 nights.
  • Overnight road closures in place for safety, 8pm to 5am.

Essential surfacing improvements due to get underway tonight on the A82 between Tarbet and Crianlarich will now start tomorrow, Wednesday 15 February 2023.

The works were rescheduled due to the addition of an extra kilometre of road which needs repaired urgently. Works will take place between 8pm and 5am each night, with surfacing due to be completed by 5am on Wednesday 8 March. No works are planned for Friday and Saturday night.

To ensure the safety of road workers and motorists, the works will be undertaken under overnight road closures. This means the A82 will be closed in both directions at Tarbet and Crianlarich each work night. A signed diversion route will be in place via the A82, A85, A819 and A83, adding an additional 27 miles to the journey time for road users travelling between Tarbet and Crianlarich.

The road will be open outside working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, however a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
