OVERNIGHT FENCING WORKS ON M80

  • 5 nights of roadworks begins 22nd September 2025
  • Slip road and lane closures required for safety

 

5 nights of slip road and lane closures will begin on Monday 22 September to allow for essential fencing works to be carried out on the Junction 7 southbound on-slip.

 

To keep roadworkers and road users safe, the Junction 7 southbound on slip will be closed and a lane closure will be in place on the main carriageway at Junction 7. The closures will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am, with signed diversions in place when necessary.  There will be no traffic restrictions outwith these times.

 

These works are taking place as part of a rolling programme of maintenance works, and provisional dates for these closures are listed in the table below.

Carnie Morrison, Highway Management (Scotland) Limited General Manager, said: “This programme of fencing works is essential to maintaining the safety and security of the M80.

 

“The traffic management is required to ensure that both our teams, as well as all road users, are kept safe during the essential works.

Dates of works are subject to change in the event of adverse weather or operational requirements

 

The works are being carried out by Highway Barrier Solutions (HBS) on behalf of Highway Management (Scotland) Limited.
