BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential drainage works on the A84 at Doune, between George Street and Balkerach Street, from Thursday 2 October.
The trunk road will remain open under temporary traffic lights. This is to ensure the safety of the workforce and road users. The temporary traffic management system will be removed outwith working hours.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage investigation works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: These investigation works on the A84 at Doune will provide valuable information regarding the drainage system and help alleviate flooding on the carriageway.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
