A1 Monks Muir overnight closure will now take place from 20.00 on 22 May until 06.00 23 May.

Keltbray, on behalf of Scottish Power, will be carrying out essential work on a section of overhead lines between 22:00 on 22 May and 06:00 on 23 May which will result in the closure of a section of the A1 at Monks Muir, between Haddington and Dunbar.
This will include work on the High Voltage and Low Voltage networks, changing electricity poles and overhead power cables. They are replacing and refurbishing equipment which is coming to the end of its serviceable life which is essential works to make sure they maintain a good quality of supply for their customers.
A diversion route will be in place. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
