The eastbound carriageway of the A823(M) will be closed at Pitreavie Roundabout between 20:00 and 06:00 on the night of Wednesday 16 September, to allow BEAR Scotland to remove temporary cable diversions that were in place for works now completed on the bridge carrying the M90 at Junction 2.
A diversion route suitable for trunk road traffic will be signposted from Pitreavie Roundabout to M90 Junction 1C, via Queensferry Road, Kings Road and Admiralty Road. This will add approximately 4 minutes and 1.5 miles onto journeys.
Overnight lane closures will also be in place on the M90 southbound, however these are not expected to cause any significant disruption.
David Bishop, BEAR Scotland’s South East Unit Bridges Manager, said: “The programme of maintenance works on Masterton Viaduct is coming to an end, and the temporary works required to facilitate them are now being removed.
“This carriageway closure has been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to road users as far as possible, however motorists using the diversion route should allow a few extra minutes for their journeys.”
