Layby 60 northbound near Glen Garry will now start on Thursday 6 November and layby 66 northbound at Drumochter duals will be rescheduled. Please see new dates below.
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential improvements to a layby on the A9 between Calvine and Drumochter from Thursday 6 November between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
The A9 layby 60 northbound near Glen Garry will be resurfaced on Thursday 6 November. To protect the workforce and road users, traffic lights will be in place overnight with vehicles being escorted safely through the site under a 10mph convoy.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These layby improvements on the A9 will fix existing defects.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
