Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These ground investigation works will allow us to assess the condition of the carriageway and help inform future resurfacing works at Sheriffhall Roundabout.
“It is essential for the safety of the workforce and road users that these traffic restrictions are in place while the investigations are carried out. We’ve scheduled the works overnight to minimise disruption as much as possible.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these investigation works.”
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
