INVESTIGATION WORKS AT A7 SELKIRK, A702 HILLEND, AND A68 PATHHEAD

  • Overnight weekday works from 25 January to 18 February

Temporary traffic lights will be in place overnight on the A7, A702 and A68 over the next few weeks while Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland carries out investigation works in advance of future resurfacing.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 20:00 and 06:00 on the following dates:

  • From 25 to 27 January on the A7 at Selkirk on Hillside Terrace north of High School Lane to Market Place
  • From 1 February to 8 February (except Friday to Sunday) on the A702 at Hillend between Boghall Farm and Biggar Road
  • From 15 February to 18 February on the A68 at Pathhead Main Street

Work will be carried out on Monday to Thursday nights with no works planned between Friday and Sunday. Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times.

Strict physical distancing protocols are in place to protect teams and ensure they remain safe on site, in line with Scottish Government guidance.

Emergency services and other relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans.
