BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out an inspection of Cromarty Bridge on the A9 from Monday 31 August.
The inspection will be carried out Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, and is currently expected to be completed Friday 4 September.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights will be in place.
All works are dependent on the weather and as such, the programme of works is subject to change.
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Richard Cook, BEAR Scotland’s North West Bridges Manager said: “This inspection is key to reviewing the condition of the A9 Cromarty Bridge and informing future works.
“The works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users and the local community as far as possible. Traffic management will be manually operated to minimise delays, however road users should allow additional travel time. We would ask road users to fully comply with temporary speed limits to ensure our workers can go home safely to their families each day.”
