BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out work to remove material affecting the drainage system on the A83 at Loch Restil on Monday 16 February.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, and are expected to be completed in one day.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, the eastbound lane of the A83 and the adjacent layby will be closed with roadworkers manually operating stop and go signs to allow traffic movements through the work area.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Steven Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “The excavation of the material that is blocking the channel alongside the A83 at Loch Restil will restore the capacity of the drainage system and improve surface water management in the area.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
