Please be aware that essential surfacing improvements, planned to take place on the A82 North of Nevis Range today (Tuesday 17 January), have been postponed due to inclement weather conditions. It is hoped that the works will now take place on Wednesday 18 January. However, this is dependant on weather conditions and BEAR Scotland will reassess the situation tomorrow morning. A further update will be provided if there is a further change of date.

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be resurfacing sections of the A82 at Nevis Range, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.

The project is scheduled to take place over one day, with works planned between 7am and 7pm. All works are anticipated to be complete by 7pm on Wednesday 18 January, subject to weather conditions.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as motorists, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

Real time journey information is available from Traffic Scotland on www.traffic.gov.scot, twitter at @trafficscotland or the new mobile site my.trafficscotland.org.
