Works start on Tuesday 22 February for one day

Essential repairs are set to be conducted on the A9 River Tay Bridge near Dunkeld with works set to get underway tomorrow, Tuesday 22 February.

The repairs will involve teams removing and replacing the existing joint sealant, such that the movement joints remain protected for years to come.

Works are programmed to take place on Tuesday 22 February between 9.30am and 4pm.

To protect the workforce and motorists, temporary traffic lights and a 30mph speed limit will be in place on the A9 during working hours.

Commenting on the project, Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This essential maintenance project will see teams replace the joint sealant on the A9 River Tay Bridge, which will assist safe operation of the bridge for years to come.

“The traffic management arrangements on the A9 are crucial to completing the works safely, and our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly as possible.
