ESSENTIAL DRAINAGE REPAIRS ON A85 AT ST FILLANS

January 23, 2026

  • Drainage works to start on Monday 26 January 2026

  • Lane closure with temporary traffic lights in place

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out drainage repairs on the A85 in St. Fillans from Monday 26 January.

Works will be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day and are expected to be completed on Wednesday 11 February.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, a lane closure and temporary traffic lights will be in place 24 hours a day for the duration of the works. Traffic management may be removed outwith working hours should the progress of the works allow.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This drainage repair on the A85 at St. Fillans will fix defects in the underground pipework to ensure free flow and thereby help reduce surface water on the carriageway.”

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
