For the duration of the road closure, amnesties will be in place at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am and 4am, with escort vehicles taking traffic safely through the site under a 10mph convoy.

The road will be open as normal from 5am each day to keep disruption to a minimum, with a 30mph speed restriction in place due to the temporary road surface.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “These surfacing projects on the A83 will deal with road defects in the area and improve safety for road users.

“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly and efficiently and with safety as our top priority. We’re grateful to the local community and all road users for their patience while we complete the essential improvements.

“To minimise potential delays, we recommend that road users plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
