BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage works on the A82 between Luss and Culag, starting on the evening of Tuesday 27 May.
These drainage works will take place between the hours of 7:30pm and 6am, and will be completed on the morning of Tuesday 10 June.
To protect road users, pedestrians, and roadworkers, temporary traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the works. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access through the worksite for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These drainage improvements will improve the performance of the drainage system, alleviating current levels of flooding on the carriageway and improve the resilience of the route during heavy rain.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
