The slip road onto the eastbound A720 Edinburgh City Bypass at Lothianburn Junction will be closed for drainage repairs between 22:00 and 06:00 on the nights of Thursday 19 and Friday 20 June.
A diversion route for traffic wishing to join the A720 eastbound at Lothianburn will be signposted via the A720 westbound to turn at Dreghorn Junction and return eastbound. This will add an estimated 3 minutes and 2.5 mile to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “It is essential for safety that we close the slip road during these drainage repairs, however we’ve scheduled them during overnight hours to minimise any disruption.
“We thank motorists in advance for their patience.”
