- Works to take place at two locations along the A83 between Wednesday 3 – Saturday 6 December
- Temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place at both locations between 20:00 and 06:30
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out essential drainage investigation works at two locations on the A83:
- A83 Campbeltown Road, Tarbert – Two nights
Works on the A83, Campbeltown Road, Tarbert will take place from 20:00 Wednesday 3 December and 06:30 Friday 5 December.
- A83 Front Street, Inveraray – One night
Works on the A83, Front Street, Inveraray will begin at 20:00 on Friday 5 December, and will complete by 06:30 on Saturday 6 December.
To keep both roadworkers and road users safe, a temporary traffic light system will be in place throughout the planned working hours at both sites. Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Unit Representative said; “These essential works on the A83 will provide information to assist effective maintenance of the drainage systems, as well as clear any blockages to mitigate flood risks as we come into the winter months.
“We thank the local community for their patience while we complete these works and encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out for their journey by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
