BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carryout essential drainage investigation works on the A85 between St Fillians and Lochearnhead, approximately 3 miles east of Lochearnhead.
These drainage investigation works will be carried out for two days between the hours of 8am to 4.30pm and will be completed by the afternoon of Wednesday 27 August.
Due to the nature of the works, and to protect both motorists and roadworkers, temporary traffic lights will be in place during the working hours. Laybys within the extent of the works will be closed for the duration of the works but the main carriageway will be reopened outwith working hours. Local access will be maintained.
Access through the worksite for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These drainage investigation works will provide valuable information regarding the current condition of the drainage assets and identify areas requiring improvement.”
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
