BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out essential drainage investigation works on the A84 along Callander Main Street starting on Thursday 19 February.
These drainage investigation works are programmed to be undertaken overnight on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February between 7.30pm and 6am each night with traffic management being removed outwith working hours. The investigation works are expected to be completed in the early hours of Saturday 21 February.
Due to the nature of the works and to protect both roadworkers and motorists, it will be necessary to implement temporary traffic lights, with traffic management being removed outwith working hours. A 24-hour temporary parking restriction will also be in place for the duration of these works. This will allow unhindered access so that the works can be carried out.
Access through the work site for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s Planned Maintenance Manager said; “These essential works will ascertain the drainage asset information as well as clear any blockages within the drainage system.”
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
