DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ON A9 LAY-BY SOUTH OF BLAIR ATHOLL

  • Traffic lights between 9.30am and 4pm

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential drainage works at lay-by 46 on the A9, south of Blair Atholl on Tuesday 30 September, between 9.30am to 4pm.

The A9 will have temporary traffic lights in place to protect the workforce and road users. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained at all times.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage investigation works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These investigation works on the A9 at lay-by 46, south of Blair Atholl, will provide valuable information regarding the drainage system and help alleviate flooding on the carriageway.

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
