BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential drainage works at two locations on the A85:
The trunk road will remain open with temporary traffic lights in place to ensure the safety of the workforce and road users. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage Investigation works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These investigation works on the A85 will provide valuable information regarding the drainage systems in these two areas and help alleviate flooding on the carriageway.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
